think spring

spring. what's not to love?

long dog walks
watching belle pass out after said walks
daylight past 7:30p
the smell of hose water
watching erin's garden grow
summer plans
baseball games we forget to attend
cooking out
leaving the windows open
blustery weather
warm rain
the way the sunlight changes color
countdown to tomato sandwiches
baby-fever
driving home from work with all the windows down
budding trees
cheapest-ever gas and energy bills
more natural light in the house
birthdays
perfect snuggling temperature
seasonal affective disorder takes an up-turn
more wedding gigs
birds in the morning

new greens

we were (and constantly are...) inspired by our green-thumb friends, and have made some additions to our sad little collection of plants. our only requirements: easy to care for and hearty. VERY hearty. and pretty, of course.

twin "assorted houseplants"
(if you know what these are, please comment)

this lovely mandarin
(pot from big lots - $16, hello?!)

we officially chopped the basil. it made a valiant effort to survive the winter, but everything that lived was pretty droopy.

i'm kind of anxious about these stumpy remains... we'll see. it comes from a very long, wise line of basil.
